Highya all. Time has come for me to replace my brake discs and pads. I was wondering if anybody could advise me on a good brand. I plan to take my car on the occasional track day. Maybe the standard toyota parts will be ok?

Not sure on this one, any advances?

...erm, not like i'm hijacking this thread or nuffin... but is it possible to fit bigger discs and breaks to an ST202. I'm thinking of getting some bigger alloys and didn't want it to look silly.

Such a noob question but; Will this require getting new struts or anything??

mintex

or

black diamond predator

or

ebc ultimax

brake pads. Anyone had any experience with these? Loads of people been slating the ebc greenstuff pads whereas mintex have had good reviews. Not seen much info on the black diamond pads though.

Hi there,

I just replaced all my discs on my ST202 GT 2.0 with a set from fleebay. Drilled & grooved £129 + £10 packaging.

I also got mintex pads all around from the same company in Ireland £50.

Thet have been on for about 250 miles and they are just starting to bed in.

Dont forget to put in new brake fluid whilst your at it.

The drilled & grooved look very sporty and I am in the process of painting the calipers and discs.

Then it will be a wheels refurb...

Cheers

big E

you can fit st205 brakes , but will require some mods . not really needed on the st202 , stock brakes are adequate . however the rear caliper on the st205 outbrakes the fronts on the st202 . you need drilled /grooved discs and a good brand of pad on your 202 .
