Hello ...

I've just been into town and have swiped my driver door around a car park pillar ..... gutted to say the least !

I'm going to go through my insurance with an excess of £200... does anyone know if this looks fixable?

Basically went into a new car park all the pillars are bright white as with everything elase and the pics show the result... **** **** **** !!!

thanks

OUCH !

Hard to tell from the pics if the door itself is badly dented or not though.

It might be worth pricing up a door from a breakers - it's a standard colour so if you can find a red one at a good price it would be a straight swap !

The door is scratched quite bad and slightly dinted. The bodywork after the door has one big dint the size of a football but i'm not sure how easy that could be fixed...

Howdy,

I'd cost up having a new skin put on the door (plus paint and labour) against getting a new door.

The rear is a bit more tricky. I'd get a few quotes from paint shops. You tend to get what you pay for with paint shops... trust me on this one, i've had a few terrible paint jobs in my time but we wont get into that.

Repair to the back may mean that the little triangle window would need to be cut out. Make sure they get a pro to do it!

Not easy to tell from pics but rear quarter looks worse than door. You're looking at about £350-£400 for the paint job plus repair time. Could be £800 or more. Get a few quotes and ask to see some of their work.
