Hi,

Anyone know the price of a new SR180 Alloy ?

I reckon I am going to have to buy one, as just realised one of my wheels has been refurbished from new !!

Problem is I have only just noticed 4 months down the line, so reckon the dealer will tell me to do one when I complain.

I am mad I didn't notice before, but done alot of miles over the last 4 months the car has been dirty a fair bit.

Thanks

Andy

I would still go back to the dealer, for the first 6 months it is down to the dealer to prove that the product was not faulty at the time of sale, after 6 months it is down to the customer to prove that it was.

The alloy wheels are over £300 "EACH" plus the tyre.

Well in that case I will be going to the dealer and at least try to get it replaced.

Thanks

Thats not bad providing they are the manfucaturers recommended dunlops.

Think the tyres themselves are roughly £115 each.

Sorry but are we talking with crossed wires ????

What is not bad, over £300 for just "ONE" alloy wheel, so with the tyre £415 per corner = £1660 for a set of wheels and tyres is a complete and utter rip off.

Whilst I appreciate from experience that the after market ones sold at tyre dealers are usually heavier and softer than the manufacturer's ones, I cannot see how Toyota can justify over £300 "EACH" for just an alloy wheel without a tyre?

Can I please ask how you noticed it, what was different, as if an alloy wheel is refurbed correctly, unless there has been major kerb damage and they have had to remove some alloy at the rim or the spokes, you cannot usually see the difference?
