I'm thinking of getting a ALPINE-CVA-1004R motorised monitor installed in my yaris. Does anyone know if this will fit in where the 'cash tray' is??? I know people have installed aftermarket head units but i dont know if anyone has done this yet

Nash

it was as easy to fit in the dash as any other headunit but it does have a load more wires to connect up compared to a normal unit.

also i recommend getting the KCE-104V expansion unit for it as it expands the capabilitys of the unit no end - about 170 quid for it

without exp you have

1 pre-out (sub) (and the regualr high level outputs for front and rear)

1 aux in (ps2, dvd etc)

navigation in

with exp you have

3 4v preouts (sub,front,rear)

3 aux in

2 aux out (headrest monitors or the like)

unit gains source command capabilitys so no need for spearte commander

spectrum analyser can be dsiaplayed on screen

navigation in

special input to add a reversing camera

thats just an eg of what it does

it will run fine just on its own but allows for conciderable upgrades in the future
