Hello,

I have now purchased an ODB connector (USB).

However, I am not able to connect my computer.

I get errors that says I might not have an ODB2 compatible car.

SO,, It is an Yaris Verso 2000.

First of all; Does my make and model support obd2? I certanly can fit the cable into the slot.

Anyone knows of a desent freeware?

I want to get the error codes.

Thanks!

If it's got the obd socket then it should be obd compliant. I don't know of any freeware. What do you want to do anyway? Re-maps etc?

Well, I'm new in the field, and so its more or less a general interest, and have a look around inside the brain of the car.

I am also expericencing a hissing sound (scraping metal?) on 2000 rpm. Was maybe thinking the odb2 would tell me something.

I have the VAG-COM software, but as far as I understand it is only for skoda, audi, and vw.
