Engine Noise From 1st To 2nd Gear?

Hi there, I've got a 1.0 litre Yaris Blue edition, 04. I've had it for just under two years and it hasn't gave me any problems so far. I noticed today that when i was changing from 1st to 2nd gear, the engine was giving a kind of whirling noise. After i realized, i turned off the radio to see if it was happening all the time. It only seems to happen if I'm doing between 10 and 15 mph and doesn't happen every time, although quite often. It's definitely not the way I'm changing gear before anyone asks, every other gear change is fine apart from 1st to 2nd. I've noticed on the forum a lot of other people seem to have problems with the yaris gear box. Any clues?

Driving today, i've notice the noise happens everytime i'm driving at 12mph or 13mph and change from 1st to 2nd, which pretty **** wierd. if i'm doing over that it's fine, or less than that its also fine :S
