No Aux Connection In 2007 Yaris Sr?

I recently just bought a Yaris SR 07 plate and trying to get my head around how to set-up the stereo so I can use my IPOD. On my previous car I used a JVC KS-PD100 interface which worked perfectly.

I was told by the dealership that my car had a aux connection, and tbh when I went to pick it up I didnt really bother asking or looking, I have looked EVERYWHERE and cant find the damn thing, if there is one where should it be? I would be surprised if there isnt one and not that I'm just looking in the wrong place .... the prices I've seen for installing the Toyota IPOD interface is just a joke (£200 ??? wtf I paid £20 for my JVC interface).

Am I just looking in the wrong place or do they really not have a aux connection?

...and is also rubbish in every other respect...

If your SR comes with the built in sat nav, I think the only input you have is the USB on the front.

Certain Ipods are able to be read by the unit - but you have to make sure the songs are in the right file format. Then all you do is plug the ipod into the sat nav using your standard ipod cable.

Hope this helps.

  • 2 weeks later...

if yours is the 2007 SR model (not the 2008 satnav sr), then you can buy the ipod interface cable from eBay for about £60....

It plugs into the CD changer connection on the back of the radio - so you will have to dismantle your dashboard a bit to be able to get to the back of the radio to fit it.
