Because the purpose of the two specials is you get 3 extras.

Blue - paintjob, AC and bluetooth

Black - Paintjob - alloys and leather interior.

Whats the point in them offering the same specs as the rival special edition.

Just picked up my Aygo Blue from dealership.

Dealer told me ........there is a long delivery time for the Aygo, and some people are having thier deposit given back as they can not say if and when they will get thier car.

Congrats on The Blue - I see more and more flying around and they look great.

I hope that a returned deposit is not an option in my case.

I fear asking for an updated delivery date too. :fear:

Mines due for delivery tomorow, so should be picking it up tuesday or so.

Great! I hope you'll be posting some pictures of it!

When did you order it?

Posted

The order was placed 5th May, so not too long of a wait. Pics shall indeed be forthcoming of my little Blue ^_^.

Our Blue was ordered around the 1st May.

Due at dealers on 5th June.

Spoke to dealers and next update is Monday. Hopefully it is going to come forward a few days.

Reg plates aren't sorted yet which means I can't sort the insurance cover note. It is going to be a matter of timing now.

Hopefully pick it up the week beginning 11th unless they have it ready before (might have it by Friday 8th or Saturday 9th if we are lucky)

SCRAPPAGE NEWS... :dots:

''More than 35,000 new cars have been ordered through the UK's scrappage

scheme since it was announced in April, government figures show.

This means that one in five of those who bought new cars took advantage

of the £2,000 discount available for scrapping vehicles over 10 years old.

Sales of new cars in the UK had fallen 28.5% in the first four months

of 2009 compared with 2008, as the recession deepened.

In an effort to revive flagging sales, the UK Government set aside £300m for the

scrappage scheme. That's enough to fund discounts on 300,000 vehicles.''

Scrappage seems to have kicked off nicely, 35000 is an impressive figure! Our Aygo is one of them!

I see the new price rise has now been added to the Toyota site. Blue or Black with no options now £6695 after scrappage allowance - their site still showed £6495 yesterday.

My Aygo blue is costing me £5,957.25. Gotta love getting rid of a 3yr old car.

The lowest price I saw (after the 01 MAY 09 increase) for a brand new Aygo Blue 3-door manual under the scrappage scheme was 6020 pounds stirling but it involved a 220 miles round trip to the dealer from where I live. (metallic paint and air conditioning included)

It's 6200 locally.

Do you mind posting which dealers these were? Thanks!

I'm interested in an Aygo Blue 3d manual.

Drivethedeal website is currently quoting £7404.84 for one. On their scrappage page it says they can offer £1700 off their discounted price currently for an Aygo.

Making it £5707 after scrappage. It says you pay the dealer not them. Is there a catch I don't know about, it seems to be insanely competitive?

Edit: Ok I see. Thats if you want the finance option which you can't do with the scrappage scheme, so its really £6200. Still a nice price.

Ha ha - Hi all

Got a nice little Aygo+ on the way! Aircon and glovebox thrown in for £8000. Well £6000 really. Not here till mid August :(. I weep at the betrayal of my ol' faithful tho. Brutal facts of life - need better fuel economy. Will be saving up for some decent rims as well - anyone got any wheel pics? Pref on chili red. :)

Wondering whether or not I should get a glovebox lid - don't really know if it's worth it as we never leave anything of value in the car :)
