Do you all live on the same STREET or something?!

Unfortunately not !

...and what Thurlow Nunn would have saved me would have been absorbed by my

extra travelling costs.

There's also the benefit of ''shopping locally'' if something goes wrong.

Wondering whether or not I should get a glovebox lid - don't really know if it's worth it as we never leave anything of value in the car :)

£67 from Toyota, or £30 from Citroen :o

I know, £67 to fit the GLOVEBOX LID :o

Think I'll buy and install myself :)

The lid is defo worth it. Get your dealer to throw it in for free. I got a slight discount on the price of £100, with free mats and glovebox lid - others have managed similair if not better deals. At the end of the day they still want your business and there maybe more than one toyota dealer so you can face them off against each other. Good luck

Do you feel guilty about scrapping Old Faithful ? :giljotiini:

''Parker's depreciation value of new cars put Toyota's AYGO at the top of the list.

The AYGO dropped in value by less than any other car in 2008 (£1515)

Toyota's AYGO has featured in the Parker's top ten for three years running.

Not surprising really - it's fun to drive, cheap to run, and kinder to the

environment than most of its peers. Even more so with the introduction of

Toyota Optimal Drive technology, which features on all 2009 AYGO models.

You can road-tax the AYGO for just £35 a year. When you realise some

new cars can depreciate by more than £35 a day, scrapping an old banger

for a new Aygo makes perfect sense, in more ways than one.''

Have to run up tonight and choose the registration plate and get the insurance cover note sorted out.

If all goes well then we could have new Aygo Blue by Thursday :D

BL09 JOB

Sorry, couldn't resist! I do hope I don't get a "PO09" plate though. It's more than likely living in the Preston area, however.

No we didn't end up with either. It start RE09

We are planning for Thursday evening collection. Phoned the insurance company and the docs should be in the post to dealer (and copy to us) tomorrow.

I wanted to get the reg plate sorted last week so the insurance would have been ready but the dealer kept putting it off.

No news on my Blue - but I'm not fussed.

I can legally run the scrapper for another eight weeks.

PS - I'm going to spray the Blue engine with

GUNK ENGINE LAQUER & PROTECTOR, 5 quid from Halfords.

It keeps the engine & wiring spotless and free of corrosion.

What a name for an Engine Protector - "GUNK" :D

Three weeks since the Aygo was ordered :) - should be two or three left. Preferably two. But I don't mind three. As long as it !Removed! gets here.

I wonder if I should remove everything from the scrapper before I hand it in.

Radio, spare wheel, jack, tow bar, carpets etc.

I'm sure that the scrap yard will strip it down and flog the spares.

I suppose they could have emailed the list of number plates available but

the dealership is quite close to me and it gives me the opportunity to chat

to their mechanics and other Aygo owners etc.

AND I DON'T WANT THEIR STICKERS PLASTERED ALL OVER MY NEW WHEELS.

If they want me to advertise their name then they can pay me!

Lol i dont have ANY stickers on my motor besides the charles hurst Tax disk holder, and the optimum drive one.

I also made a point of asking for now stickers on my car when I ordered it and made sure it was on the order sheet, can't get away without the numberplate name though.
