Heater Matrix

I've a 1993 1.6 manual petrol Carina e estate. The heater matrix has gone. I've been quoted for a recondition (£85), but would appreciate some advice on how difficult it would be to fit. I presume the whole dash has to come off. As much as I love my car and its reliability, it's time to start considering economy.

Had this happen to two of my past company cars... and yes the whole dash needs to come out.. so even though you have a good quote on the parts... the labour charge for this will be high.... when this happened the cars where off the road for 4 days.... !Removed! garages.... :censor: after this saga I ditch the make of car... B) B)
