Lambda Sensor Fuses?

My Y plate 1.8VVTI has issues with the lambda sensors, OBD codes PO155 and P0141, telling me there is a problem with the heater circuits, I have replaced the sensor in the cat but still got the same codes. The car still runs well and no drop in fuel consumption (40 mpg at 140,000 miles  ) so I can only assume that the sensors them selves work OK

Might be a silly question but is there a fuse associated with the heater circuits that may have blown????

thanks.

Hi mate, not 100% sure with your model, but try disconnecting the Battery for a short while then reconnect it, now you have rectified the fault this should clear the codes.

Already tried that, thanks. The code comes back after a few seconds. Its a GS estate by the way.

Is the wiring in good condition leading to the lambda sensor, sometimes heat can cause it to degrade causing a short or even open circuit. I know this is virtually the same as disconnecting the Battery but have you pulled the EFI fuse out for a couple of minutes as the system can hold a voltage for quite some time due to capacitors in the ECU storing it.

Pete.
