Metallic Rattle From Backbox When Idling

Whenever my engine is warm after a bit of a drive, there's a metallic rattle than comes from the back box when the engines idling. I can only assume that either the baffle has come out of place or the rubber bosses on the hangers have corroded causing the backox to rattle against the heatshield. However, whenever I put some extra revs through it (anything over 500) the rattle dissapears. Has anyone got any ideas what this definitely could be?

As a temp/bodge fix I tried altering the throttle cable to it idles at more revs but it doesn't like it at it goes back to normal.

So, anyone else had this problem?

PS: It's not a major problem, but it's embarrassing at traffic lights :P

:)

My old Golf GTi had this problem (aswell as loads of others) turned out to be the cat heatshield rattling due to corossion on it's brackets.

Easy fix, jack it up and take it off...No more rattle. ;)

However your's could be something completely different.
