I have given Gaz's suggestion some serious thought (well 2 Min's while I went to the loo, it's amazing how the stream changes colour depending on what you have eaten, I had a panic attack after eating beetroot - but I digress).

I have come to the conclusion that my personalty is Toooooo big to be locked up in one post and I'm sure the same can be said for Biz.

So it is with great sadness that I / We have to decline your idea.

Hello vic , just wondering what that might have been that you were drinking , as i've yet to find a good spanish red that meets the approval of ones palate , i iether find them too sweet or they taste a bit like domestos ( not that i have actually tasted domestos of course ) but you get my drift .

Oh , and posting while half cut , thats a good bit of advice by the way , LoL there have been a few posts that i have made in the past that otherwise i would not have made had it not been for the influence of the wine and no , i'm not always on the sauce whilst posting ( just in case some wise a-ss tries to crack a funny ) :D

Seriously though vic , thanks for posting that , i might try a bottle and see if i like it , however tempranillo is the main grape used in the making of rioja , and i have never found one that i can glug .

I don't consider myself a connoissuer , i just know that if it tastes good and its glugable , i like it .

Of late i have found myself favouring new world wines & in particular chilean reds , i'm into PORTA reserva PINOT NOIR, at the minute , full bodied & silky in texture , and reasonably priced from £5.99 to £9.99.

I , personally, probably have a rather closed mind on the matter. I refuse, if possible, to pay for wines from Australia, Sth Africa & South America. I prefer to drink those made in Countries with thousands of years of wine making tradition, & Spain in particular.

I know that this is irrational, as the skills of those countries have been exported by exiles to the newer Countries.

Whatever you like, drink it. I do not go in for swirl, sniff, taste & spit, Glug it, every time.
