Yaris In For Recall

I had my Yaris booked in today for the Toyota/VOSA recall to remove the insulation from the seat belt retractor devices.

The job was planned to take approx 1 hour, but actually took a little longer as my dealer did the "Full Visual Safety check"

(No problems reported :) )

The bonus was that I was handed a full Toyota branded car cleaning pack containing Car Shampoo, car polish, wheel cleaner,Cockpit spray, Glass cleaner, sponge and chamois.............All in a rather smart zip up carry case with an embroidered Toyota logo on the side.

This was a "present" from Toyota to apologise to me for the inconvenience.

Excellent present, Thanks Toyota, .....................will keep the Yaris sparkley for quite some time

Anyone else had their Yaris in for this and did you get your cleaning pack?

Does it affect the T Sport?

Not that I know of.....................I think that it is only the Mk2 Yaris.

If your vehicle is affected you should receive a recorded delivery letter from Toyota/VOSA

I got my letter about 3 weeks ago...................so all affected car owners should have been notified by now

Recall been going on for a while now. First off started with £15 fuel, now doing the car care packs for the inconvenience.

T sport not affected.

Had mine done a couple of months backs now. Had to have the steering column checked too with regards to the recall on them as well.

got the car care kit, but no letter. Dealer informed me of the work that needed doing :)

Nice bag though. When I've used up the car care products, It's gonna come in handy :D
