Hi folks,

I recently bought a Toyota Stereo/cd player to put in my mk1 MR2. Further investigation has shown that the stereo I bought would have been externally amplified, and has a 15-pin socket on the back;

wheras the MR2 stereo was internally amp'd, and its loom ends in a 10pin and 6pin plug;

This thread on the US supra owners forum has a section saying;

You can also add a factory amplifier to a vehicle that originally was only a 10pin 6pin.

You can find Toyota factory amplifiers that you simply plug in the harness side connectors (10pin and 6pin) into the amplifier and then plug the 14 or 15 or 20pin connector from the amplifier into the corresponding stereo.

I'm after said amplifier!

Can anyone help me?

Adam.
