Does anyone know the colour codes for jap import on toyota startlet ,as i want to fit a sony cd player

wiring colour in car

Grey

Brown

Blue/yellow stripe

Green

which of the above is earth and which is live

Cool, that's the exact same thing i'm doing. It's a 93 jap starlet, and a sony cdx-mp30 cd/cp3 player. anyway, you can get a wiring diagram from www.installdr.com

By the way, what sony did you get, and how much? I'm in shannon, waiting on delivery of my unit from eBay!

thanks for your reply I got it working ,there was only 2 wires that were needed to operate the cdx-m630 I connected the grey from car to red on cd player and the blue with yellow stripe from car to yelloy on cd player.

So you connected up the various power wires, and was there a connector thing as well? (trying to get it clear in my head formy install. :-) )

What happened was when I baught the car there was no radio or cd player in it the last person to have it cut off the connecter the wires were taped up
