Hi all,

I've just bought an '07 Rav 4 2.0 petrol XTR in black - not quite 2 years old.

Lovely car which will hopefully give me many years of trouble-free motoring

This is just a test really, to see if I can post and to ask if anyone knows why I can't edit my profile?

Welcome to TOC 07xtr. With that motor you should be in good company here, the general feeling being that they represent the best value for money in the current RAV range. Lots of useful advice available. There is a guy on here called Chatman who probably knows his way around the site as well as anybody. Either him or one of the other more experienced members will no doubt sort out your profile problem.

Keep a good wax on it and it will stay cleaner longer , mines black and gets waxed every 2 months or so , and it keeps the fine scratches away

I would wait for the supagard to wear off first , i did the same . Mine came with it on and after a few months it wears off .

I use Dodo wax Hard candy but its £30 a tub , ive used mine maybe 4 times (2 coats) and havnt used 10% yet so lasts for ages . It goes on easy and polishes off easy . Smells great too :D . Stops minor scratches i found ,

Its a constant learning curve with new things popping up all the time but with some head scratching and networking we usually get to understand things!

Welcome to the club 07xtr.
