Prius Satnav

Can anyone give me a quick "idiots guide" to selecting a destination on the satnav?

The thing seems to be trying to do far too much and is nowhere near so user friendly as my previous Tom Tom.

I get to the point where it says "Add" or "Replace" destination. - What does this mean?

I sometimes get there by trial and error but would like to have some certainty

I also seem to get previous destinations coming up added to my current request.

Whats going on?

This happens to me. After you've selected your destination either from memory or by entering an address, always select "Replace". I think this occurs if your last destination wasn't fully reached, maybe because you stopped near the endpoint or switched the car off.

After you press "Replace", you then get around three route options but quickly press "Guide" and you're underway. The "Add To" feature is just a way of adding stopovers on a route, so you would enter stop 1 first, then 2, 3 and so on.

I agree it's not the most user friendly but it is good. Incidentally, the company behind it, Aisin Ltd. in Japan, also manufacturer the RNS-E navigation system in Audi A3, A4 and older A6 models which isn't as good as the Prius version!
