Optimal Tyre Pressures For Tte Alloys

Hey Guys,

This is the first post so be nice! ;)

My first car is this '99 Toyota Yaris in metallic green, and its brilliant! I love it so much I decided to buy it a present - a set of 15'' TTE Chicane alloy wheels on Toyo Proxy T1-R's. However when the wheels were delivered, the front tyre pressures were way up at 38psi and the rears at 35psi. Would anyone be able to tell me what the proper pressures for the tyres are given the specifications? Do they differ from the standard pressures?

Thanks all, enjoy the picture of my wee beast! ;)

I have the same wheels. I am using the same pressures recommended for the original Toyota 15" SR alloy wheels which are 31 f 28 r.

That sounds pretty high to be honest. Try lowering them? If they are that high surely you're not using the full width of the tyre. Lower the pressures and go for a quick spin to check results! ;)

31f and 28r seem to work well with mine, thanks Nick! :)

It is a replica of the optional Toyota spolier for the Yaris. Same as this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-YARIS-MK1-ROO...%3A1%7C294%3A50

Search eBay for yaris spoiler it is sold by many sellers.

Yeah, I over-inflate them because I found I get slightly better mileage, 'tho at the cost of grip. Luckily I don't drive very fast :)
