Need Some Advice Please

I have recently been stung with an alfa, needless to say i will never own another, so i've narrowed my choice to the mr2 or the celica, can't go wrong with toyota, should have remembered the trouble free motoring i had with my first car, the starlet. Any way any advice on the celica as an every day car, what model to look for, any reliability issues, and is it as much fun to drive as it looks... All feedback greatly appreciated

Ok, after buying the alfa i went through the alfa forums, long long pages of woe.... and mine was there shortly after purchasing, there don't really seem to be any here....... surely they are not that trouble free??
