Fuel System

i swear i have a problem with my fuel system. i mean i think its flooding my engine because the fuel keeps on flowing. i took off the fuel line from the filter and i expected some fuel to come out due to it being in the system still, but after 15 minutes it was still flowing now i dont think thats normal. i think my fuel pump might be not working properly or the fuel pressure regulator. cos my car wont start and if its cos the fuel pump wont turn off then surely it must be flooding my eninge. any ideas pretty please with sugar and cherry on top.

is it possible removing the hose and with back pressure a SYPHONING effect began , hence it ran for 15 minutes ..

i doubt the pump was pumping at all , its a high pressure system when its working and it wont of had enough pressure to pump fuel through the injectors.

you should be able to hear the pump running with ign on . try removing the earth on the Battery and cut power to the pump and check the pipes once more.

i have seen a fuel pump used to pump water and trust me the delivery rate is like that of a hose pipe.

i think your problem could be down to no spark . get yourself an old plug take each lead off 1 at a time ,put the plug into the lead and place it on somewhere metallic , the engine lift eye is ideal , have someone crank the engine and you watch for a spark .
