Hi everyone! Not strictly a "Toyota Owner" as of yet, but hopefully will be within the next six weeks. Finally bought an Aygo today, went for the brand new 2009 5-door BLUE model in the end, and I'm sure I will not regret it. bluetooth and Manual Air Conditioning as standard! Delivery Date estimate is "End of June" according to this order form, just before the summer!

Managed to take advantage of the scrappage scheme, managed to get the £2k discount by handing over our nearly 11-year-old Nissan Micra 1.3 GX. Poor thing, it's survived all these years and just hit 90,000 miles, and now it'll be off to the scrapyard in a matter of weeks :( ... It's OK though, because it's held together by rust and the moss that's growing on it, the radio hardly works and the central locking is officially bust.

The Aygo is going to be our new small car. It's safer and more economical, two major factors in buying it. I'm sure it'll be great. I'll be posting some pictures of it when it arrives.

Many Dealers seem to be sticking to the 'no further discounts available (if you use scrappage) - it is possible to get more but you have to hunt around :) For me thats part of the fun!

I'm sure you'll be very happy with the car!

Didn't bother buying the Aygo mats we were offered for £60, or the car cleaning pack. Bought that Gap insurance however, in case I somehow manage to write it off in the first three years (which I'm obviously not planning to do).

It was worth buying the car just for those AWESOME chrome tail lights!

I got the mats and gap insurance. May as well since accidents do happen.

Always wrestle mats for free out of any car from a dealership, and a free tank of petrol. You can push the deal a bit.

I told my dealer (MK) that I wanted mats and a full tank or there's no deal.

If it's simple stuff like mats that's tipping the balance of the sale, they will throw the damn things in

Enjoy it!!

That was the philosophy behind me getting the gap insurance - just imagined not getting it and what would happen if I wrecked the car :) - but I guess that's how they managed to sell it to me!

Don't particularly care about the mats, but did manage to get a tank of fuel chucked in for free. Should've said I wanted the Style Pack for free or there's no deal - I wonder what he'd have said :D

hey ive ordered the Aygo Platinum expecting to pick it up first week of July. Just thought id mention to anyone thinking of buying the GAP insurance to not buy it from the dealership. If you type Gap insurance into google it gives you sites which is less than half the price! a huge saving. my quote was around £100 instead of the £350 the dealership tries to sell you for the same thing look around before buying.

I also got the recent £200 price increase off the price along with free mats, a years tax and some petrol. Fantastic deal as i also took advantage of the scrappage scheme. A tip i learn't from reading alot of reviews was never seem too keen in the garage they are more likely to offer more. Can't fault the dealershp I went to they have been great so far. I can't wait for my aygo to arrive, counting down the days! :D

It all really depends on the Dealership. Small cars are in vogue so Dealers are reluctant to offer more discount than is absolutely necessary. If you got some additional discount then good for you!
