Cost Of Mirror Glass?

I got my mirror damaged by some ***** whilst my car was parked. The glass on the drivers side requires replacement.

I called the garage and they quoted £48 + vat !!!!!!

This seems like a joke, considering it is only the glass, has anyone else been quoted for this?

You think that's a lot, got my copy of Evo magazine today and the guy who owns the Lamborghini broke his wing mirror reversing it into his garage and the cost for a new wing mirror was

Maybe you have heated mirrors? Check that if you will replace the glass - it will be of course more expensive than simple piece of mirror because of the heating pad.
