can the power cap be placed any where

ie across sub

across amp

across Battery after the fuse for the amp

what do the the digital numbers on the power cap measure

i want to put the power cap somewhere where i can see the numbers

its a 18V 1.5F power cap, what is the max power it can take

say if i've got a 600W RMS 1200W peek sub, what would be the best amp to use

what sub is it

the power cap has its +ve terminal in a series connection with the power feed and the -ve is earthed to the body

the display normally shows the running voltage of the cap and usually its charge state

those sub values are made up, I gonna get a new sub and amp, should the amp match the peek or RMS

what is the limit if the power cap is 1.5F, are there any cheap makes that I should avoid?

its more important to match the rms values

what do you mean by the limit

and you cant really buy a cheap make one as they all do the same job its just the name that makes them more expensive in some cases

have a look on Maplin Electronics they do some decent ones and they are normally on offer

they are usually a ton a piece but they were on offer with 50% off when i bought mine!
