Cat Back Exhaust Question....

hey ho all,

probably a daft question, but im getting a powerflow custom cat back fitted in a few weeks onto my 99ST. i just wondered if its gonna make much difference to the fuel consumption?? if anyone can shed some light onto it, i'd be very appreciative.

It will allow the exhaust gases to flow much better, you certainly wont see a huge difference in mpg, might have been slightly difference if you had removed the cat

Hi There, I have decatted my 1998 2.0l GT and it has not really improved the mpg.

The new noise out of the exhaust is great.... It likes to pop now....

i decatted my 95 gt and found the mpg worse.

i think that is to be expected. but i honestly didnt think it would be anything noticable
