Turbo For T Sport Yaris Phase 1-- Big Money, What Do You Think?

Hi again,

Had some quotes and looked at turbos on eBay etc. I cant belive the price and thanks to adam on this site, he had given me a link to a site on eBay, a turbo kit for a touch under £2000. sounds alot to me then another £2000 for set up etc. WOW. Thats £4000. You could by a RS turbo for that and a good one for that. Im talking a complete car. If of course you like escorts. How can they justify that.

So at the moment Im running a T sport with a envy sport cat with megan manifold and bliz backbox and looking to replace the KN filter as I bought one that replaced the paper one in the standard air box. I am looking to purchase the typhoon kit. Was also looking at eBay and there is lots of chips for sale that promise 10 - 25 % more power by given the ecu cold air infomation! Seems to have lots of satisifed customers. Any proof of this from members on this forum.

What do members think on the above on this and the price of the turbo.

Any other sensible mods I can do on the engine.

Please let me know as I am a bit lost.

Cheers.

Hey Bosco, any chance of sticking up that link for the kit? is an ecu remap included in that quote?

They eBay chips are not worth the webspace they are written on and will eventually damage your engine!

As for another sensible mod i would look got a stainless 4-1 or 4-2-1 manifold, this will help with the breathing alot.

If you also buy the typhoon which is an awesome bit of kit, you could benefit from a remap to help with all this free breathing.

After a remap you would be looking at about 135bhp per tonne which is actually more than a fiesta ST!
