Hi all,

I am now the proud owner of an Avensis D-4D TR ('07), having owned one of the original Avensis many years ago. Since then I have owned Peugeot 406s and a Ford Focus. I had the Focus for 18 months and realised it was a mistake, the ride is too hard for my old back. I am very pleased with the car and am amazed at the fuel economy - on the motorway I could barely get 49 mpg out of the petrol Focus no matter what speed, careful acceleratio/braking etc, but with the Avensis I am easily getting 60 mpg at 70-80 mph, this rises to 66mpg at more sedate speeds.
