Rear End Conversion

For those of you that have had the rear end converted tot he rev3+ stylee.....

Does the original locking mechanism get used in the new one?

Does it fit and work the same??

I fitted a rev 3 lock, but it doesn't actually line up 100% with the rev3 back panel.. don't know why tho.

You can use a key, but it scrapes the paint slightly.. so for emergency only.

Nothing wrong with the way it was installed etc.. simply doesn't like up properly.

Maybe you could line it up more with the help of a little washer or something at one side to change the angle.

I've got the rev2 lock and it's fine .. just slightly recessed ..

the rev1 lock was so recessed with me that I couldn't actually use it.

A few people are blanking off the boot lock completely. I;d do this, if the cable release in the car worked properly.... :( Summer job methinks.....

Does anyone sell a smoothed panel to replace the standard one?
