I am due to pick my Blue up tomorrow and it is all ready, however got a call from the dealer today saying they are changing over the way they tax their cars tomorrow and should it not work properly then they won't be able to tax my car and I can't have it tomorrow!! Fingers crossed! And no I don't understand why they can't sort the tax out today instead!

Btw, how do people decide on a 'gender' for their car....one of those things or something they think about?

A new car is only suppost to be taxed the day the owner will be taking it home.

I think the reason is because if a car is taxed today for example, and you dont pick it up till tomorow, you are not getting your full years worth of taxation.

When I picked mine up a year ago- 27th of the month - the dealer taxed it for 13 months £38.00 due to the fact it was so close to the end of the month.

I went in and paid the final balance today, and I pick up my 5-door Aygo Blue with the style pack on Wednesday!

They were supposed to phone me today and haven't after I left a message....am not impressed. <_<

Turns out who I spoke to did not pass my message again, not happy abouit that, but also not happy that car has now slipped a week to 11/07/09. :(

As a side point, they told me that even for a basic Aygo with no frills, wait time is now up to 16 weeks....

Bit annoyed and upset that I've seen people on here and other forums orders days or a couple of weeks after me and get their cars before I do.

But hey what can I do? It's really frustrating now, with this being the second delay.

Did anyone else experience many delays or any at all?

Sorry to hear that you've got to wait a bit longer :( My experience was the other way; originally I was told Mid-July, then 6th July and then it came forward to 29th June. My total wait was just under 8 weeks.

Still 'chin-up', hopefully not too long to wait B)

Andrew you are not alone Im still waiting too. My dealer told me 20/7/09 from start though, I keep my spirits up on this web site 17 days to go.
