Modifying Air Box In Ep91

how can i modify the stock air box to take in more air...i already have a k&n panel filter...and i want to optimize it.

i have a 1998 starlet ep91 4efe

You could cut a hole in it and run another airfeed to it, though it would ned to be completely air tight.

Another thing to do would be to smooth out the "vanes" (if thats the correct terminoligy) ie, file down and smooth the bits of plastic that stick up in the botoom of the box, this causes less turbulance and in theory smoother airflow. Gains will be negligible though, but its free :)
