Short answer: yes.

Longer answer: under the bonnet, next to the Battery, there's a fusebox. What's what should be printed on the inside of the cover. Another one under the dash, near the bonnet release lever. Now I've written that, I expect there's another one somewhere else, and it's in there...

Josh thank you for the short and long of it- I found the fuse under the hood and it is ok, so now I am in trouble- I cant find any garage around where I live who do air-conditioning servicing- the main Toyota at Brooklyn garage are first rate for genuine servicing- but their charge is £80 per hour or part of- so I cant do that sort of cost, my car is pretty good and well looked after but a big job on air conditioning could cost more than the cars worth.

Kwik fit do this work but have got a bad rep around here.

Do you know of any reputable firms doing this work in Worcestershire? Should the Fan on the A/C radiator run as soon as the A/C button is pressed in the cab. cheers Jim

I've never had a problem with A/C - well, I think mine needs regassing, but I've never really tried it - but I've heard that it's a lot cheaper to get it looked at by an A/C specialist than a main dealer, in these cases. That's not speaking from personal experience, though - just what I've read. There are a couple of specialists in Worcestershire that came up when I googled "car air conditioning specialist worcestershire". http://www.auto-aircon.com/ and http://www.arcticaircon.co.uk/ were top of the list.

I know nothing much about air-con except that it's not user-serviceable because you can't disconnect anything without special equipment. Unfortunately, that means the Haynes manual has nothing to say on the subject. I'd guess, though, that the a/c radiator fan might be thermostatically controlled, and so not come on until there's some heat to radiate. If the compressor isn't working - and apparently they can be damaged by running without refrigerant in the system - then no heat would need to be radiated away, so the radiator fan might not need to be on.
