Picked up my Aygo. Have driven it for an hour or so. Here are my initial impressions compared to my C1 Vibe - will upload photos later.

Likes

1) The Aygo seems more quieter and refined them my c1. Road noise is definately lower.

2) Air con - on a day like this it is perfectly adequate.

3) bluetooth - works well. People who I have spoken to could hear me clearly and vice versa.

4) The car seats are firmer and nicer than the c1 seats.

5) Car looks cute - love the blue colour and it glimmers on a glorious day like this.

6) With one of the rear seats folded it can accomodate the bugaboo pram on the rear seat. With the c1 as it di dnot have 50/50 split whenever we needed to take the pram would have to take our other car. Now can take the Aygo.

Dislikes

1) When going at over 30 miles an hour there is a rattling noise from the dashboard near the passenger side. I called the dealer and explained this and will take it to them on Monday. Hopefully this can be sorted. Whilst cant hear this rattling noise when music is own - without music it is annoying.

2) Stereo - yes has six Speakers compared to c1 but still sounds is pants.

3) bluetooth is great but calling people the voice recognition is a bit tempremental. Easier to just call using the phone rather than trying to saying the number out aloud.

Initial thoughts is the car is definately a lot better than c1 and am happy with the purchase. But I am slightly disappointed with the rattling noise and would expect this to be resolved. Will post some pictures when I get round to taking them

Sounds good, hope the weather lasts so you can keep admiring it glinting in the sun ;)

Looking forward to seeing some piccies!

I'm looking to buy a C1, I used to prefer the Aygo.

Just waiting to give the go ahead for a C1 VTR in silver with Leather/Alcantra trim £7700, I'm hoping to find a photo of said interior, so far I'm drawing a blank, Citroen brochure just shows the rather nice leather steering wheel.

Noise in the cabin has recently been addressed on all models I believe. Do you think the seats are better because you've gone from old to new?

Took a look inside a C1 today, interior looks exactly the same as Aygo.

As far as I can see it is only the steering wheel and seat trim that differ between the three cars. I much prefer the Citroen steering wheel.

That would be because they are built in the same factory and use the same components  :)

The only difference is the Steeringwheel pad with the Airbag inside,

the rest is 95% compatible, at least the bits before the B-pillar are...

That rattling noise you're hearing sounds a bit disturbing - loose interior trim? Dealer should be able to sort it, hopefully.

Glad the bluetooth works well, don't care much for voice recognition though.

Nice to read of your experience. Our Blue has about 3 weeks to go yet! looking forward to it using your review. Many thanks for taking the time to post up your thoughts!

About three weeks for ours too :)

Need to phone our dealer, see if they've got a more specific date than the "end of June" yet.

Some more thoughts -

The rattling seems to have gone - great just when i was planning to show it to the dealer. Some very slight noise when doing 40 miles plus - but those speeds are difficult given city traffic.

Car definately is a lot smoother than the C1. The cd speaker system is not that bad when listening to cd. It would not be the end of the world if I did not change it.

Fuel economy seems a bit pants - but that maybe because it is a new car. For example the dealer gave it to me with three bars. Currently it is on the last bar after 70 miles. On the c1 each bar would give approx 60 - 80 mile. So hoping this will improve over time.

Dashboard does reflect in sunny conditions - but again it is liveable.

Overall I am very happy with the purchase. The AC is a blessing in these hot days, I used to feel like a spit roast in my c1 but the Aygo is great. Have also got quite a few compliments about the car colour/interior.

The whole reason I ordered an Aygo was for fuel efficiency. :o It better not be rubbish. What mpg is anyone getting, and what driving style?

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it.

Your Aygo will be capable of an MPG figure in it's 50s, at least. See the topic about the mileage people have done before the petrol beep.

Nice photos of the Aygo by the way, I look forward to getting ours all the more after seeing those images.

For me (us) its about the low ownership costs (third car in house-hold). Even if we get 45MPG for urban only driving then I'd be happy in all honesty. Don't get me wrong, if I could get 50MPG+ I wouldn't complaint, but its about the whole package over one individual cost.

The AC is great this weather but fuel economy will improve when AC is switched off

If you want fuel economy get a VW Polo Bluemotion and be bored to death for the rest of your life at 70mpg.

The Aygo is all about 6400rpm and sounding like a mini Porsche ..

Who cares if you have 35mpg when 3 cracking babe hitchhikers have jumped in the car because they were so impressed, and you were only on the way to Tesco's to get a pint of milk.

What you use in fuel to keep cool in the summer using the air con is saved when it’s not used in the winter. Swings and roundabouts I think is the term used

I think Mythbusters did some extensive testing an using A/C vs. rolling down the windows and

they came up with a "break even" speed. Above the A/C is better, below roll down the windows.

As for not using it in the winter: I DO use my A/C in the winter; defogging of the

windows is MUCH faster, since the air blown over the windows is dry instead of damp...

Well I drove to see friends in Lincoln on Saturday, 162 miles away. Drove back on Sunday, stopped off half way for a track session at Silverstone during the Jap Tuning Show, then drove home.

Two bars left on the fuel gauge when I pulled up :D
