Well what can I say. I'd already fallen for the iQ and the test drive sealed the deal. I've ordered a white iQ2 which should be here in 10 weeks. They had silver or black available in 1-2 weeks but white was the one I really wanted so I thought it best to wait.

Still very pleased with the dealer experience. The dealer gave me the keys and said "take as long as you need, have fun!" which was a refrehing surprise! I got in some town driving and motorway and what really impressed me the most was its motorway manners. It was more than capable of reaching 75 on an up-hill slipway and cruised along happily at just over 80. I've read some comments about being blown around and yesterday was a good test of that thanks to some crosswinds on the M4. I would say that it's perfectly normal for an 800kg car with relatively high sides and narrow tyres, and it felt fine to me.

Anyway, can't wait for August! Thanks for all your help with my questions :)

Well done you wont regret buying the IQ I went for black as dont really like white cars but that personal choice If we all like the same colour how boring would that be. Was going to get the purple colour but that was a 10 week wait.

Happy motoring keep the forum updated as to how things go.

10 weeks seems ages!

You are right to wait for the one you really want, and if you enjoy the car as much as I do once it arrives, the wait will be worth it.

I can't believe the first people to get iQ's, like me, have had them for about 4 months already and personally I like it more every day.

Well I go France next week for a week so I am putting my deposit down when I get back...

I'm hoping it won't be much longer than 6 weeks maximum! How about you?

Ah ok. I ordered last Saturday and from then for a white IQ2 it was roughly 10 weeks. Silver or black were available in 1-2 weeks.

Ahhh thats a bit *****e that you have to wait longer for the white :( Oh well I'm sure I can last 10 weeks...

I do like the look of them in black though to be honest... Will have to decide after I get back off my holiday

I ordered mine on the 31st May, an iq2 auto white with urban pack. At that time I was told it would take 13 weeks. A few days later was told it would available in 3 weeks. Yesterday got a call asking me to come in and sign the registration documents and sort out the complimentary 3 day insurance to tax the car. We were hoping for a 59 plate but now can't wait to get it. Does anyone know if the sensors are fitted by the dealer or in the factory?

That's good news as well then! Maybe it was a cancelled order? I too was hoping for a 59 reg but nevermind, I'd rather have a car so I don't have to cycle in the rain :D
