Whats the difference between an oil pressure gauge priced at 50 or one priced at 150?

£100 and accuracy.

so would you advise against a cheaper one?

Usually the cheaper ones are made cheaper and will go out of spec sooner.

For oil gauges, I'd suggest SPA .. you can get a dual one, for temp and pressure.

Plus the cheapy ones tend to look naff ;)

I always liked the Defi DIN gauge... unfortunately the configurations were limited, and my car at the time has boost and oil presure built in anyway...
