HEY,

WILL I NEED TO BUY A FASCIA PLATE IF I WANNA INSTALL A NEW HEADUNIT CD PLAYER ON MY CDX YARIS. I HAVE BOTH THE CD PLAYER AND CASSETTE PLAYER UNIT. WILL THE NEW HEADUNIT FIT IN WHERE THE CASSETE PLAYER UNIT IS?

THANX

Your options are:

1) Use the current fascia that is there now. Remove the cd player that is under the tape player and use that pocket to fit the aftermarket headunit. The standard tape player and cd player are disabled anyway when you fit an aftermarket headunit. As here: http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.p...=20&t=21168

In the above guide it is a factory cd player with a pocket underneath. From what you said I take it you have the factory tape player and the optional toyota cd player where the pocket would be.

2) Use an aftermarket fascia. http://motors.shop.ebay.co.uk/items/_W0QQ_...;_osacat=108815

3) Use the Toyota replacement fascia and rav4 adapter. As here: http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28967

BTW please dont use all CAPS on posts. it is taken as shouting.
