As the person in charge of quality on certain parts of the Auris when it first started to production I would like some feedback on how certain parts have witheld real day to day situations.

OK-

Centre Console

Hiline (one with lid)

Lowline (one without lid and crappy cupholders)

Glovebox Lower

Glovebox Upper (I.P Box)

Door Grips

Wishbone

Sidepanels (below wishbone)

Stop Start button surround

I am no longer in charge of Quality anymore and I take no responsibility for your cars falling to pieces. I would also like to give a shout out to any TMUK workers on this forum. You work your nuts off guys!

All those items are as they were 2 years ago when i bought the car from new. No problems with any

But for more desirable qualities, toyota definatly should have used softer plastic imo.

As above. I think personally the interior design is really good but the plastic quality is really poor as everyday use makes marks and scratches.

that is good then.. I made the right decisions quality wise. I worked my nuts off getting those bits up to scratch. IMO the sidepanels under the wishbone must be scratched to F as the moulding plastic used was absolutely appaling.

Cant say Im too impressed with the quality of it, worse than my 8 year old Clio was imo. Marks easily, rattles as much, if not more however it does at least look more modern. Until you see its lit in orange!

When I first seen the car in January 2007 i was impressed, but comparing it to the Avensis the interior was rubbish. Overall the Auris costs about 4k to build. Or thats what I remember.
