02 Previa Exhaust Backbox Required

I need a new exhaust backbox on my 02 Previa. Kwikfit have quoted nearly £400 including sourcing and fitting with four days lead time reqd. Am yet to contact Toyota dealer for their quote but expect it to be even higher. Anyone know how/where to get one cheaper?

Sims Toyota £287.73 + £15 for gasket - and they are the official Toyota dealer!

Dewsbury Autosalvage £97.75 secondhand with 90 day guarantee

Universal Auto Salvage Ltd £65.55 secondhand with 30 day guarantee

A1 Jap Spares £115 secondhand with 30 day guarantee.

An alternative might be to weld it back up myself, or pay someone else to do that.

So basically my decision rests on £300 for new backbox from official Toyota dealer, or £100 for secondhand of unknown quality

Whatever way you look at it - the Previa might be a quality vehicle, but my god do you pay through the nose for even the most basic of spare parts.
