Well i don't know the actual answer to that however my intelligent guess would be as HD becomes the standard due to, for example, over 50% of actual content broadcasted is in HD as opposed to SD then i would imagine the charge would be dropped as they would incorporate that cost into the monthly subscription

Then again that's just my guess - i have seen a preview of 3D HD TV at a recent gig at the work and that IS impressive although that's a while yet.

Well at the demo i was at, it was like the Buddy Holly Fan Club but there are ways of working on 3D TV that requries no such glasses but all is WIP at the mo
