How Does The Dohc Paseo Motor Respond To Porting ?

Let me start by introducing myself.... I'm a FORD guy and, my main interest is the 2.3T That ford created awhile back, but I won't go into a history lesson. I'm also an expierianced head porter.... Now heres the deal, a buddy of mine at work has a spare head for his motor, I'm going to start on.... It's a 94 Tercel with a Paseo motor.... He's already got a header, no cat, full exhaust, intakes, all that crap.... Anyone here done any work to the head ?? 16 valve DOHC ?? I'm considering opening up the bowls a bit, cleaning up the runners, polishing and reshaping the combustion chamber, opening up the ehxuast side slightly, and unshrouding the valves a bit.... Going to put it on my mill and take a down a lil bit to CC it down and bump up some comression.... Anyone with any skills ever done it to a paseo motor before ?? Thanks for any help in advance guys. Head porting on a 5efe is great! Can see up to a 30 hp gain if done correctly. I've been told the head could be worked more for up to a 50 hp gain, but I'm scared to go any further than I have. Hope that helps man.

this is also going to be naturally aspirated.... All motor, no power adders.... I've got a couple extra spray systems in my shop that I might give one away to him, and see what we can do.... I'm not sure of the details of his motor or which it is etc.... Only that I've seen the motor in person once, and we talked a little bit about it.... That's all....

Cris (kidturbo) is the only one here with a racing paseo in the works...

Jaime/cris/rdmfan from PIMP all have racing paseo's - mainly with 4agte's if i remember.

most of them have been banned from PIMP because the management didnt like fast paseo's..

I still got a 5e James. But after spending time in New York and in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area this last month, I say both places have very beautiful women, much more so than St. Louis. Yeah, I'll be hitting up BYP for some custom work once I get down there.
