I have a 1991 Celica GT with a broken e-brake cable. Does anyone know where to buy on and how easy/difficult a job it is to replace?

Thanks,

As you call it 'e brake' I assume you are in the USA so can't help with where to buy but changing the cable is pretty straight forward. You need to be able to get right under the car SAFELY! though. I can recommend you get a Haynes or Chiltons manual for the front drive celica (very useful) The ISBN for the Haynes is ISBN 1 56392 397 1 Hope this is of some help

By the way here in the UK we call it the Hand Brake. (2 nations divided by a common language)

Also, if you see any of the old cable sticking out where you can tie fishing line on it before you pull it out, do it.

That way it will pull through the path the new one will have to go through. So when you are done you should have fishing line running from the back wheels to inside the car with you.

Now tie the new cable to the fishing line and use the line to pull the cable back through the path. Beats trying to push and thread it all the way through.

Hope that makes since to you.
