Got A Honda Prelude....

Hi everyone,

A few days ago, my dad got his hands on his mates Prelude with the sort of rounded tail-lights.

It's got a 2.2 VTEC and lord in heaven does it scream! The exhaust is standard yet sounds better than some aftermarket exhausts, and when you hit VTEC you get pushed right back into your seat. It's a brilliant car.

I guess this is sort of what 'lift' feels like?

Has anyone else here had one?

I sold a few of them, it was my first proper V-TEC experience the engine is great and the gearbox slick, the rest of the car i found a bit average.

Yeh the gear-box is quite sporty and makes the most of the power, the suspension is a bit spongy though.

I used to have a Civic with VTEC and I loved her, the kick back into your seat from the VTEC was very noticable.

I would have a VTEC in my MR2 any day.

Happy motoring.

I was thinking about getting the VTEC into my rolla at some point far in the future.

I never knew that they were that much fun, so much top end power!

I won't be using the VTEC anytime soon. The insurance is terrible enough judging from the quotes that I've already aquired. :(

Motoring for me is everything you do with your car. Whether its a service, MOT, rebuild, driving or even buying a little something for it at a motor show. ;) So I'm enjoying it already!

My aunty recently had a Lude Motegi, which is essentially the prelude version of the Type R or so im lead to believe (im sure i will be corrected)

had the 2.2 vtec lump bashing out 220bhp, the fantastically smooth 4 wheel active steering and slick box. Also had uprated suspension geometry i think?! and better seats. I hope to be corrected if i am wrong. And apparantly was a very limited run number of this car. Id of loved to own it for the sheer fun factor. honda do make good cars. i just prefer my T Sport :D

Love em, all generations. The only reason I'm here is that I could get insurance on an MR2 back in the day... my next option was a Honda of some sort and not 49cc!
