Hi All,

Has anybody had to replace the fuel release cable on their Celica (Gen 6).

Mine has stretched and now only operates with a pair of plyers....(I know)...

If anybosy has done this a bit of a description on how to go about changing the cable would be good.

Many thanks

Big E.

if you remove the boot trim . you can access the nut on the rear of the rod that moves to open/shut flap . you can adjust the length of the rod , this might just give the cable pull enough to pop it open . worth a try . you will need to remove the trim inside the boot anyways if you want to change the cable

Thanks GT4... I got it open... I will need a new cable. Its not a major problem at the mo as I can still pull the tab in the footwell by hand, not using the lever.

I will have to keep my eye on eBay and get a cheap one and wait for a summers day before I start stripping out the interior to find where the cable starts and ends..

Cheers

Big E
