Hi

i just put some 17" fox racing alloys on my yaris gs and apart from its lookin like a mini off roader it is great but

after giving a lift to a couple of friends i noticed that over bumps i could hear the wheels rubbin on the arches. But a cant see

any damage.

What can i do without having to change them as they drive great when only one persons in the back?

could Grayston Coil Spring Assister be a solution lol heres the link :

Get a lighter GF and tell your mates to walk.

Open and Shut case.

Or.. the coil assister, ive used them on my old car for about a year and it doesnt eliminate the problem, but it sure helps, your still gonna have to be carfull and hold up the traffic as you go over speed humps like a dog with worms.

But they do work.

You can allways roll the wheel arches to give the rims more clearance.

When i was into VW's, loads of people used to do this esp on mk1 and mk2 golf GTi's.

17's on a Yaris won't do much for the handling, why not fit some smart 15's and lower it?

It will sit much better like that. ;)
