I've done one. I got a scrappy one as a new one is around 250. It's an easy job and is only a little more involved than changing a wheel. First, remove wheel, then the brake drum, which isn't bolted on on mine! Then unplug the ABS sensor. Now unbolt the hub. The bolts (4 of them) are around the ABS sensor. They have a 12mm head i think. They may be very tight so use a socket or ring spanner. You dont want to round off the heads. If the hub is seized in place then put back in two bolts most of the way but leave, say, 2mm before tightening. Some penetrating oil helps to free things up too so use that. Dont get it on your brakes! Now tap the bolts with a hammer or something small enough to fit in there so as to push out the hub. The hub should start moving out. If not, spray some more penetrating oil and go for a cuppa. Try later when the oil has done its job. Remove the hub and clean the hole in the swingarm. Install your new hub and tighten up the bolts. The torque? I don't know. But i tightened mine up to what they felt like when removing them. They are still tight!

Then the ABS sensor, brake drum and finally wheel. Tighten up everything and off you go, while listening for anything that shouldn't be happening, like the wheel falling off......!

the bearing will be reasonable, say 30 quid... the work, about a ton... doing it is not too hard if you have the time and space to do it and the means to get the bearing out of the hub to fit the new one.

Isn't the bearing part of the hub? I took apart my old one and the bearings were not removable. It's like the hub IS the bearing if you catch my drift. Maybe the new yaris has removable rear bearings so i may be corrected on that.
