Who in their right mind actually watches this great pile of steaming horse poo :horse: , in my household the answer is my daughter , despite the fact that i have banned it from every TV in the house other than her bedroom , yet she still insists on watching it in the front room :help2: , i'd rather stick pins in my eyes and stand neck deep in dog poo , than watch a freakshow full of dissfunctional dropouts , its a shame channel 4 can't be sued lol for inflicting such a program on the nation ..... Rant Over

Sadly these days mentioned "big brother" these days and to seems about 90% don't know of the Orwell connotations.

I like the fact that on the M forum even mentioning it gets an instant ban. Although mentioning solely on the grounds of saying it's utter rubbish is perfectly acceptable in my books!

Putting programs like this on the telly is just a subversive plot by the global warming lobbyists to make everybody use the OFF button and save some leccy. Now where did I put my copy of Fahrenheit 451... :D

The most pointless program ever!

I genuinely prefer Loose Women, or Sex in the City. I really would.

The people are chosen because they're complete morons who nobody really likes, which for some reason, makes for good TV ratings!?

What is Britain coming to eh?........

I am very indifferent to big brother - i cant see the point to be honest. Its really silly - what do you do to justify the win - nothing. It gives the reality television a bad name when in fact theres some really good reality television on.

I say very good reality television on the basis that i consider that all television programmes showing real life situations happening for real is reality television. So for example if you had a programme following real life ambulance crews doing a real days work dealing with real situations - thats reality television.

I tend to really enjoy those type television programmes that follow people like the ambulance crew example above - or airline, road wars and that kind of thing. Big brother on the other hand is just silly - and the idea that someone can become a celebrity on the back of it is just :censor: crap.

If someone is going to be well known thats fine - but i want people to become well known because they are very good at very worthwhile things - like Sir Steve Redgrave in rowing, Sir Alex Ferguson in soccer, Sir Alan Sugar in business, Ron Dennis for his acheivements as boss in Mc Laren - that sort of thing.

I don't actually like Sir Alan as a person from what i see of him on the Apprentice - he comes across as a miserable bugger whose next to near impossiable to please or work with - however that aside theres no question that hes a very successful businessman whose worked very hard - and i respect him a lot for that. Id have more time for him then any big brother winner. Also i also realise that what we see of him on the telly may not reflect Sir Alan as a person - they have to dramatise things somewhat so that people will watch the apprentice

Therefore i am prepared to accept that im wrong in saying that i don't like him as a person and that if i met him i may change my mind - and yes i am aware he does stuff for charity
