,, hi,,, here about people having over heating problems and changing the heads on them and other stuff to ,, how reliable are they i no toyota is bullet proof ,,, what do i look for on the engine side of things ,,,, and what sort of milage are they good for ,,thanks

Get a gen 3 ;) more reliable, better 4x4 system etc etc

Gen3 was the KZN 185 .. from about 95/96 onwards ..

I've got one, It's Charlie (Karma Supra)'s old car.

They are a bit rarer, they are also more "car" like on the inside.

You'll get "hairdresser" comments from the earlier generation owners, but the car is actually a better starting point.

The 3.0 is defo the better engine. the 2.4 had a few overheating issues.

Apart from that, yeah, it's pretty reliable.

100,000 Talibahn can't be wrong.

ha ha ,, should i be worried about high milage ones ,,,, so a gen2 3 litre td is a good motor ,,,

That's gen2 ..

I'd go for the 3.0 litre, and generally check the 4x4 system (don't use it on tarmac though).

hi what do you mean buy do,nt use it on tarmac ,,, i,ll be useing it for going fishing ,,taking dogs out ,, camping , shopping day to day things ,,, i wont really be taking it off road , now and then may be but nothing stupid ,,,
