2009 Verso Alloy Wheels

Recommended Posts

Posted

I've got a new 2009 T2 Verso, which I'm very pleased with - apart from the steel wheels.

I'm after some alloys, but the online sellers don't list the model, and I dont want to pay main dealer prices, especially as i don't like the wheels they offer.

So - which alloys will fit my car ? "Old"model Verso ? Auris wheels ?

All I know is that they're 16" wheels with 5 bolts - I don't know any other measurements

Don,t think they have changed the wheel offset ,

114,5 x5

offset is 45 with 16"steel wheels

i have the 18" wheels

114,5 x 5

offset is 40

7,5 J

Thanks for getting back to me....the main dealers don't have the information - its incomplete.

The wheels I've seen are discontinues ones for the Auris - Snowflake design.

The measurements I've got for the wheels are 6.5J x 16, ET45, PCD 5x114.3, Bore 60.1.

If I'm right, the 6.5 is the rim width in inches , 16 is the diamter, but the others I'm not sure about.

the bolts that are fitted seem to have a 60 degree "chamfer" - definitky not 45 degrees, and they are nuts not bolts.

The distances between the centres of the nuts appears to be 65mm.

Do I need to consider the "dish" of the wheel etc, and how do I work that out ?

I'm sorry, but I don't want to buy the wrong size and be lumbered with them !!

Thnk you ion advance for any help you can give me !

Check the size of alloys on a Verso which has alloys as standard, or ask Parts King for a size/price for a replacement.

Or be very pleased to have the steel ones. Now that every Fiesta and Corsa out there has alloy wheels, they're hardly the status symbol they once were, the weight and performance claims for them were only ever marketing dressed up as engineering, they're easily damaged, fiddly to clean and attract thieves.

Continental markets can still have steel wheels on 'prestige' marques like Mercedes and Volvo. It's only in the UK that we've fallen so comprehensively for the alloy idea. :)

Sounds like you have plastic wheel trims then?!!

Nope - 16" alloys all round on both cars - but I would gladly have had steel if there'd been a choice. :P

Right then - took the plunge and rang the toyota technical helpline (£1.50/minute !!!)

The 2009 verso - steel and alloy wheels - are 16", PCD114.3, 6.5J - all good stuff.........EXCEPT that the offset is 39mm.

now, the wheels that I have seen are the same in all regards, but have an offset of 45 - a 6mm difference.

now - will that translate into a different feel on road or is it of no significance ?

Will I blow the warranlty fitting the wheels ?

Can i damage the car/suspension/tyres with this different offset ?

Will the exisiting nuts fit (both the "fitted" and "intended" wheels have a 60.1 bore) so where does the missing 6mm go ?

I don't think that the 6mm will cuase the wheel to foul the bodywork ?

Questions questions...but no-one seems to make wheels that will exactly fit the car except Toyota - and I don't like theirs !!

And the eBay fella has a "no returns" policy !!!!!!!
