Which Size Alloys

So what are the best size alloys to have ?

I've heard anymore than 15" could rub on full lock, is this true ?

If you stick to 15" what tyre size ?

Is it worth lowering to sit the wheels in the arches better and can this only be done with 15" wheels ?

I was looking for something a bit bigger like 16" which i thought i would be able to get away with, but i've been told even this size could rub on the arches and then i was looking to lower a bit ?

Whats your thoughts ?

Cheers !

You can go to 17” with 205/45 tyres as on the 1.8 SR or 16" with 195/50 tyres as on the 1.3 SR or 185/60 with 15"

I have 17" wheels on mine and they look fine. The car is lowered 30-35mm on TTE springs and the offset is 37 not 45 as standard - I don't know what the offset is on the Sr 17" or 16" wheels. This means that the wheels stick out 7 mm more. Makes a difference to the cars' stance, it looks squatter, more planted, a bit like the just replaced SR's.

No rubbing fully loaded or when cornering; in fact the car looks like it could be lowered by the same again without any problems!
