Celica Engine Problem

Hey, i bought a 00 jap import a few months ago. recently iv noticed a noise in the engine when it gets to 3000 revs. The guys i bought it off cant seem to figure out the problem so f anyone has come across this before it would be great if you can help me out!! Cheers

does it have oil in it?? some of them (which includes mine!) drink the oil so that would be a good place to start!

Exhaust heatshield under the car. Mine used to do exactly the same as you describe at the same revs.

I just ripped the shield off.
