Does anyone know how to reset the oil service light on a 56 plate avensis diesel?

Hi! This is the correct way for resetting the oil change service light "after" you have changed the oil and filter.

1. Turn the ignition key to the "ACC" or "LOCK" with the odometer reading shown.

2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position whilst holding down the trip meter reset knob.

Hold down for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates "000000" and the light goes off.

If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing so try again.

By the way you still have to do the above if you "change the oil early" as system will not know where it's at.

See page 155 in the Avensis owners manual if you have one, all of the above is a direct quote from it.
